Mentoría en educación superior, la experiencia en un programa extracurricular

Este artículo analiza posibles contribuciones de la mentoría a la formación de universitarios en un programa extracurricular. Primero se aborda el concepto de mentoría y sus conceptualizaciones teóricas, y luego se describe el estudio de caso: la mentoría en un programa extracurricular de liderazgo para estudiantes universitarios con habilidades cognitivas sobresalientes (Programa Talentum-Universidad), así como la metodología utilizada –basada en el análisis de los reportes que mentores y mentorandos entregaron después de la primera y última sesión. Los resultados de la investigación dan evidencia de la contribución del proceso de mentoría a la formación de los estudiantes en el ámbito personal, académico y profesional, subrayando la importancia de las metas de interés del mentorando y las características o atributos del mentor, abonando a la escasa investigación sobre esta práctica en educación superior.Descargas
