Tendencias y transformaciones en el sistema de educación superior en Estados Unidos para afroamericanos e hispanos

A partir de la revisión de diversas fuentes estadísticas, especialmente aquellas elaboradas por las oficinas gubernamentales de Estados Unidos, se expone un panorama descriptivo de la inserción de las minorías étnicas y raciales en la educación superior estadounidense. Este proceso de inserción ilustra los cambios más profundos y generales de la sociedad norteamericana, y tiene un origen distinguible, aunque no exclusivo, en las transformaciones sociales iniciadas en la década de los sesenta y consolidadas en los setenta. Dichos cambios implican un nuevo espacio político, social y cultural en primer lugar para los afroamericanos, que desplegaron una lucha ingente por sus derechos políticos y civiles, y luego para los hispanos.Descargas
