Educación física e intención de práctica física en tiempo libre

Resumen

El objetivo de la presente investigación fue analizar un modelo predictivo del apoyo a la autonomía y las metas sociales sobre la intención de práctica física en tiempo libre. La muestra fue de 758 alumnos de Educación Secundaria de Murcia (España), con edades de entre 13-18 años. Se utilizó un cuestionario compuesto por la Learning Climate Questionnaire, la Escala de Metas Sociales, la subescala Relación de las Necesidades Psicológicas Básicas, el factor de motivación intrínseca de la Escala de Motivación en el Deporte y la Intention to partake in leisure-time physical activity. Se realizaron análisis descriptivos, correlaciones y ecuaciones estructurales. Se halló una importante correlación entre la motivación intrínseca y la intención de práctica física. En el modelo, la relación con los demás se predice fundamentalmente por la meta de relación y el apoyo a la autonomía. La relación, a su vez, predice fuertemente la motivación intrínseca, y ésta la intención de práctica futura.
