The Editorial
Team reserves the right to return to the authors those articles
that do not meet the publishing standards specified herein.
- The Editorial
Committee of the journal is made up of nationally and internationally
recognized researchers, who cover various thematic areas. However, there
are sometimes cases in which, because of the theme of the article, it
may be necessary to consult other reviewers. In this case, care will
be taken to ensure that these shall be experts qualified in their respective
fields.
- All works, including those of the Editorial Committee, will be submitted
to the same process of review.
- Once an article has been accepted for publication, the reviewers and/or
the Editorial Committee will make observations which the author(s) should
address; relevant amendments should be made within 14 days. Such amendments
should be submitted only as indicated by the reviewers and/or the Editorial
Team.
- When the author delays more than 30 days in responding to the reviewers’
and/or the Editorial Team suggestions, the article will be dropped.
- The final review of the digitalized article is the responsibility
of the authors. If there are changes and comments regarding the final
digitalized version, the author must send these to the publisher within
a period not longer than five days before the publication of the number
of the magazine.
Process of review
1. Refereed articles: The
Editorial Team and/or the Scientific
Board does a preliminary review of the work to verify that it complies
with REDIE’s publishing standards. Then three pairs of experts on
the theme of the article review its relevance, quality and clarity.
- All research articles are judged or refereed by three pairs of experts,
using a double-blind system. Three specialists in the article’s
thematic material evaluate the quality of this, without knowing the
name of the article, nor does the author know the name of the judges
- After the author has been notified that the article has been received,
the time estimated for review is approximately three months.
- For purposes of maintaining the author’s anonymity during the
review process, the name should not appear in the text (but only on
the separate cover); any entire sentence leading to the identification
of the author should be temporarily removed. As an example, the phrase
"…taking into account the results of our previous work (Jimenez,
2003)", which refers to a text written by the author, should instead
be written in an impersonal manner as, "taking into account the
results of Jimenez (2003) ...."
2. Interviews:
The Editorial Team and/or the Scientific Board does a preliminary
review of the work to verify that it complies with REDIE’s publishing
standards.
3. Conferences: The Editorial
Team and/or the Scientific Board does a preliminary review of the work
to verify that it complies with REDIE’s publishing standards.
4. Reviews: The Editorial
Team and/or the Scientific Board does a preliminary review of the work
to verify that it complies with REDIE’s publishing standards.
