To promote the development of educational research, and because of our
dedication as the first completely electronic educational research journal
in Latin America, at REDIE we believe that technology should be used to
disseminate scientific and academic knowledge throughout the world. We
believe that that purpose may be accomplished by maintaining a policy
which promotes the electronic distribution of this type of literature
without economic restrictions.
REDIE has adhered to the Budapest
Open Access Initiative since our Volume 6, Number 2, November 1, 2004,
and accordingly, is identified as an open access publication.
In that same vein, REDIE follows the copyright system proposed by Creative
Commons, in which the contents published in the journal have only
"some rights reserved” under the license called Mexico Non-commercial
Attribution 2.5. Therefore, REDIE also works in accord with the Science
Commons project, derived from Creative Commons, and dedicated specifically
to the field of science.
This work is under a license
of Creative Commons.
The policy of open access and licenses with “some rights reserved”
does not negate the authors’ intellectual ownership, nor their rights
regarding their articles; on the contrary, it respects them. It is because
of this that:
- REDIE does not reserve the publication rights of the articles. The
authors may distribute their own material in any medium or media, when
such distrubution is noncommercial, and when publishers are informed
that the work will be published again, with proper credit given to REDIE,
- Publication in REDIE, because of its gratis character, gives the
author(s) no right to any financial remuneration.
- Readers may reproduce (copy), communicate, distribute or make derivative
works of the articles and contributions published in REDIE, when:
- these are for public purposes;
- these are noncommercial;
- no alterations are made to the content;
- the authorship of the work is acknowledged, and its source is
cited with complete information: name of the author, Revista Electrónica
de Investigación Educativa, volume number, copy number and
the exact URL of the document quoted/cited.
The editorial body of the journal will assume the responsibility for
providing notification opportunely to the authors of the articles regarding
any change in terms of their location on the World Wide Web (change of
address or of links to identify the article).
